Sharing some of the fabulous finds at the Design and Construction Show in Las Vegas.
I found a wonderful decking material called “Thermory”. It is used extensively in Europe. It is a walnut color, very stable and consistent throughout. It will gray out with the elements just like the Nantucket look. You can sand it and seal to bring the walnut color back, but it is not necessary. It is environmentally responsible and has been used over 15 years in Europe and Japan. I am looking forward to using it on my next project. The window world has really taken off with wonderful styles and qualities. I particularly like that they are making the old medal windows again like you see in Europe on very old estates. However these are insulated and well thought out. The building industry is always exciting and hopefully moving forward. We need good quality innovative designs not how cheaply we can throw it together, but how well.
